Eagles to start expansion project in Bridgwater

Tia Chedzoy will run the Bridgwater Eagles - a young people-led non-profit to make the town a better place.

The group will feed the homeless, take action on local issues and give young people a better name.

The Bridgwater Eagles is the first expansion of the Weston Eagles that was formed in Weston in 2015.

The group will have a similar goal and focus to its sister group - planning to create a positive impact in the community and changing the negative stereotypes that engulf the youth of today.

They already have plans to feed the homeless, make unemployment a thing of the past by getting people ‘job ready’ and are now asking Bridgwater residents what they think needs to change.

Tia, who is on the student leadership team of Chilton Trinity and who has raised thousands for charities, said: “I’m so excited to be a part of The Bridgwater Eagles and I can’t wait to change my town for the better.

“We really need the support of local businesses to help pay for vital start up costs so we can start as soon as possible. You can get in touch by emailing bridgwater@westoneagles.org.uk".

Alex Crowther, Founder of The Eagles Group, the group behind the Weston and Bridgwater Eagles, said “I’m beyond excited to welcome Bridgwater to the Eagles family. I know the team have some great plans for the town and with the guidance and backing of the Eagles group central team, I know they will be a great success."
